My Home Reno

My home reno

18 months ago, I was looking to purchase my very first house. In Bendigo, Victoria. I was looking for a house which was move-in ready and that I could invest my dollars in to renovate for profit. After my building and pest inspection I found that the bones of this 1950’s house were still going strong. It was also on a nice-sized block of land (680 sqm) so there were possibilities to subdivide or to transform the backyard into an entertainers delight!

The house had stark aqua walls in the laundry, patterned lino running through the living areas and outdated fixtures. But I could see the house’s potential. These were all cosmetic things I could update! I was able to score a really great deal on the property. And like that a #bossgirlrenovator was born.

On a budget of $15,000 I’m heavily relying on my partner and I doing things ourselves. And keeping things thrifty to make sure the money I put in to renovating the house doesn’t outweigh what I get back when I sell. Join Boss Girl Renovations on this journey to renovate this 1950’s weatherboard into a stylish, contemporary home.
